
James completed a three year residency training programme in small animal surgery at the Unbiversity of Edionburgh in 2000. Since then he has woreked in small animal referral practice, seeing orthopaedic and neurological cases. He became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2001 and is an RCVS recognised specialist in Small Animal Surgery (Orthopaedics).

He enjoys the challenge of difficult cases and working at AMCRS Thurnscoe, the availability of electrophysiology and MRI scanning gives him the opportunity to undertake the necessary investigations. The fully equipped sterile operating suite with moderrn anaesthetic facilities and supported by a team of qualified veterinary nurses permits James to undertake a full range of orthopaedic surgery.
Having a young family James has little spare time, this largely being devoted to renovating their home.
